Will my Chromebook recognise this hard drive? null

yes it does, i used it for my ps4 and my mac, unfortunately you have to change its format, so i couldn't save data from both devices at the same time. once you plug it in it should ask you if you want to change its format and once you do just go ahead and save your data.
