I never tried myself, but they do sell it that is supposedly can do this. However, I have read quite a few reviews people have tried to do this and they were unsuccessful. I wouldn't count on it

The software included with the drive includes a program that will allow NTFS file structure inside the Mac OS. You can then format the drive using disk utility and then partition it to allow a NTFS or FAT32 file structure

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since the operating systems are different, I would buy one for each machine. Mac OS has a nasty habit of being unfriendly to other systems. If I had to depend on this backup, I'd opt for a two disk solution.
