Yes, it will work. P7 1151 mainboards have 4 sata ports. However the Seagate does not include a sata cable. If your using it as a primary you will need an OS. It will succeed the internal drive in write and read, 0.5 Tb additional space as a replacement over the 1.5Tb OEM. In comparison the western digital blue 2TB competitor similar price is a 5400 rpm drive and the Seagate clearly wins at 7200rpm.
