You should be able to plug this into a phone with the appropriate cable. If you phone can work with a USB flash drive, then it should work with this just as well. Note that this comes with a cable that has a USB-A on one end, which will not work with your phone, so you will need to buy a USB-C to micro-USB 3 cable. But I am not sure why you would want to plug a phone into this gigantic hard drive. It needs wall power to run, so it is not portable.
