“I see this works great for PS5 but how is it for the desktop computers? My son keeps running through his hard drive and am looking for a bigger drive that's also good for gaming. He has an Alienware pc so is this compatible? He has a 1 TB SSD PCIe.”

Its the fastest SSD out there and so far no hiccups. Make sure the m.2 is gen 4 or it will only go half the speed. Most computers now have a generation 4 slot but its occupied by the SSD carrying Windows. It should have a second slot but many times one slot is better than the other to get the speed you're paying for.
