“What is so special about this drive that a standard Seagate Portable drive would not work or suffice? Besides the green light bar and certification is there any speed or item differences that should make me buy this over using a drive I have here?”

Nothing. Xbox logo on box and green light. Its just a hard drive.

So it does not hook up from a usb. you can run games and apps from it. You can even run games on differnt xbox. You can only transfer games not copy them which is smart on there part.
