If your device somehow gets corrupted, contact Seagate customer support with the details of your data loss. After that, they will send you a prepaid shipping label so you can send your damaged drive to the lab. The estimated turn-around time is typically 30 business days from the time your media is received at our lab. The actual turn-around time may vary due to severity of the damage, local regulations, parts backlogs, shipping delays, etc. If the recovery attempt is successful, you’ll receive your recovered data on an encrypted storage device. Otherwise, your damaged drive will be returned to you in the mail.
