I have an older LG and they work great with it. The tv doesn't have a headphone output, which these go into, but in that case you just purchase an audio converter (digital to analog) and connect through that with a digital optical cable into the tv, as long as the tv has the digital optical output, which I'm guessing it does. So in short, check that your tv either has a headphone output or a digital optical output.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too am near 80 and have a LG TV with total tech support that I purchased a month ago. Best Buy salesman sold me headphones. Geek Squad came out to install and told me they are not compatible with the LG model I have because there is not a jack on the TV for them. Returned them to the store and a salesman sold me another pair. Geek Squad came out and told me they are incompatible with the TV too. They would not pair with the TV. I have now purchased a third set, recommended by a manager in the store. Geek Squad is coming out to set those up. Hopefully they will work. So if you are a Total Tech member let the come and install them for you even if it takes multiple tries. It’s on Best Buy’s dime.
