Honestly I’m not sure. I have a Shih Tzu but she shed lightly. But I did do u a favor & opened my purifier to examine the filter & it still looks new. Mind u I had my purifier since 5/30. I’ve ran it for days straights in my 550sq ft apt & my filter still looks new. But honestly to be on the safe side purchase another filter. They had/have a combo purchase I seen AFTER I purchased mine lol. It’s the purifier + a additional filter and it wasn’t expensive for it. Plus Best Buy Price matches. We recommend checking and rotating the filter every three months. The air purifier filter life LED will start flashing when the filter needs to be completely replaced.
