  • Questioncan you use on oak wood floors?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, That is a good question. This Shark Steam Pocket 2-in-1 steam mop (model#S2902) is designed to clean surfaces that will withstand high heat and moisture. It is not intended to be used on unsealed wood surfaces (especially wooden antique furniture), unglazed ceramic tile, painted surfaces or surfaces that have been treated with wax, oils, varnishes, or shellac. The sheen may be removed by the heat, steam, and friction of the cleaning tools. Lacquer and polyuretane coatings provide a hard durable protective finish that withstands moisture, but it is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. We also recommend checking the use and care instructions from the surface manufacturer. When cleaning finished wood surfaces, use broad, continuous strokes. To prevent damage, avoid focusing steam or allowing the cleaning tools to sit in one spot for any amount of time. Hope this information was useful to you. Thank you Best Regards, Customer Service Team

  • QuestionCan it clean corduroy sofas?

    Asked by Upholstery.

    • Answer Hi Upholstery, That is a good question indeed. Since the manual for the Shark- Steam Pocket 2-in-1 Steam mop (model #S2902) doesnt mention anything about this specific type of sofa, we would recommend against unless told otherwise by the sofa manufacturer. Hope this helps. Thanks Best regards, Customer Service Team

  • QuestionCan this be used on rubber gym floors and can you use chem cleaner in it? Thank you

    Asked by Kristafee.

    • Answer It uses distilled water only. I am pretty sure you can not use chemicals. The steam by itself will kill the bacteria in your floors.

  • QuestionIs the hand-held cleaner sold separately? Can it be attached to the Shark floor cleaner I already own ?

    Asked by jelinor.

    • Answer Hello Jelinor, Thank you for your question. The Shark Professional 2-in-1 Steam Mop model# S2902 hand held cleaner, is part of the main unit, as it is a 2 in 1, but would not be compatible with your Steam mop. Kind regards, Customer Care Team

  • Questionwhich shark is best for porceline tile. the lift away or the steam pocket 2 in 1 steam mop?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, Both of these models would work on porceline tile. We never suggest using a steam mop on any flooring if it is not sealed and always suggest speaking with your flooring manufacturer before using any steam mop on your floor. The Customer Support Team
