For me, it’s a little difficult to push and pull on thicker rugs and carpets. I have 2 thick piled rugs that I couldn’t push and pull well with my decade old shark. The Stratos has a height adjustment for thick pile, but as a said in my review, I wish they had made a 4th height adjustment of at least an eighth to a quarter of an inch higher. I am able to push through (pulling was a lot easier). The dirt fluffs that came up were shocking and well worth the purchase.
