“How stable is the stand for this TV? It will be sitting on top of the cable box, which is on top of a stand, attached to the wall, about 18" above the counter. Do I have to worry about it falling off?”

• Yes! The stand is fairly stable. But I would not risk it. More significant is your cable box. Mine has air holes on the top surface. If you cover those holes, the box will overheat, thus reducing the lifetime of the modem. I would mount the TV to the wall.
