Depending on what you have them connected to there are 3 options. You either got a faulty headset, the pc or mac volume setting is not turned up so you are not getting the full volume, or your hearing may be worse than you thought. I am going to wager though that it is the first two and not the last one. 1) If they are bad, you will have to return and get a new set. 2) If it is the volume setting on the pc or mac, you will have to change the volume output settings on your device. 3) If it is your ears, I can't suggest anything because I am not a audiologists and you would need to seek professional help/care for that scenario.

If volume on headphones and device are both turned up and you still can’t hear, take them back. I bought these for my son. He keeps the volume at about 50% on the headphones and he can't hear me hollering at him 10 ft away.
