Are these Active Amplified Speakers? null

I bought an amplifier to run these speakers thru as a surround sound.

Hi, Thanks for your question. The Sonance MAG6R in-ceiling speakers are not amplified speakers. They are passive speakers that require an external amplifier or AV receiver to power them. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our California-based support team at 949-492-7777.
