“Will This pair with gen 1 playbar and subwoofer? I have a gen 1 playbar and subwoofer which works great for my living room setup and i don't want to upgrade to the arc and gen 3 subwoofer. Please let me know.”

As long as you have upgraded your system to the new Sonos app (which the Playbar and Subwoofer are compatible with) then you would be able to add a Sonos Five to the system. The Sonos Five is not compatible with the Sonos S1 controller, but your products are compatible with the new Sonos app as well!
