• I would avoid outside. Outside speakers shells and design keep elements away from internals. These speakers would not.

• Hi, and thank you for your question. The Sonos 5 is not designed to be an outdoor speaker. Depending on where you live, the winter can play a factor in this as well. We have heard of customers doing this, however, it's not designed for it and we don't recommend it.
