It can work, if on the same wireless network, go to sonoa app and select all the speakers you want to use first, then tell alexa to play your choice through any one on thelist and it will play through all the sonos speakers selected. ie "Alexa play Melody Gardot through "Sonos 1" you will only hear her answer on the echo but the music will play through sonos speakers.

IF you ever decide to add another speaker to the room you can pair the Play one's. If you have the Sonos One it can only be paired with other Sonos Ones. Especially since they cost significantly less.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.People are hating the Sonos 1 because Alexa is very poorly built into the product. If you already have the Echo, other Play 1s should hook up just fine and accomplish what you're looking for while saving you money.
