I would go with two play:1's. the Play:3 is great, but the surround capabilities with the Play:1's is amazing. plus then you can move the two play:1's to different parts of your house and have multiple rooms playing different music, or multiple rooms playing music in general.

The sound is definitely richer for the 3, and if you were only using it in the bedroom, I would suggest the 3. I currently have a play 1 in each bedroom, and bring them in the living room for when watching full sound movies (action movies, fantasies like Harry Potter, etc), and it works great.

I returned the play3 with hesitation and got 2 play 1s. It sounds great. 2 play1 defiantly filled out the room with more equal sound. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't at least. Play3 have both left n right sounds if used. I thought 1 would work. I couldn't find how to do it or info online on how to. Hope this helps... Goodluck!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally I would go with Play:1's This way when you move to living room you can get 3.1 sorround or 5.1 with sub.
