I own 55 class x900h. This is what I have learned. HDMI ports 3.& 4 are high data rate, HDR and Dolby Vision compatible. Now the HDMI 2.1 standard is supposed to support VRR but this model only supports fixed 120 frames at this time and requires proper cable. Gamers might want to look into 2021 models for full feature 2.1 ports. Plus port 3 is the ARC/eARC port leaving only port 4 for high refresh for gaming consoles. If you want decent LCD TV for under $1,000, that’s what I did after much research and playing with various manufacturers interfaces. Android TV(now Google TV) provides the snappiest control of television feature set. I bought this LCD TV with 4 year extended warranty from Best Buy as Sony service is practically nonexistent these days. Only maybe a decade ago, that was not the case. They had best service manuals in all electronic products from clock radios to broadcast equipment. I am hoping to skip OLED panels completely and go to micro LED panel technology in 5-7 years. Please correct me, anyone who actually owns the X900h and has had different experience to the last year spent with my Sony. Probably a little late with this, but I do like to share what I have learned to all who are interested. (Oh, I discovered after major data breaches @ Comcast, T-Mobile and others, my privacy has been stolen from me and I’m at the age now where I accept that, don’t really give a darn but do warn today’s youth to be more mindful and careful now that we know about all the bad actors out there) There you have it, what I have learned from a year of experience with this fine mid-range TV. Not even a hint of a problem so far.WOW, 16 MONTHS AGO and your question is still up. OOPS. Sorry I didn’t see the date. Oh well, was really bored, obviously. If I was in the market TODAY, I’d look at the products I have selected below, always leaning towards Sony with new image processor. When these descriptions say LED or Mini LED, they are referring to backlight technology. These are LCD panels with differing backlighting. The more LED discrete devices, the more dimming zones that can potentially be achieved. 900h only has 32 zones. Not very impressive compared to those below. Micro LED panels will be self emissive, like OLED, without organic degradation. That’s the cats meow. Fingers crossed my 900h lives to see the day when manufacturing improvements make micro LED panels affordable for average consumer.. hope I live that long…
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
