Yes, the same thing happened to me. It is terrible. I had to return it. Do not believe that the installation is free... it's not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to the actual store and talk to the installation people directly. Mine were more than helpful and had I gone to them first I could've saved the 2 hours wasted on the phone with corporate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I called about the free installation given that I got a $130 extra fee while going through checkout. I called installation. They explained cost for labor on installation is free. However, parts to install are additional and vary dependent on what is needed for your particular car.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They installed for free. I Took a screenshot showing free installation. They honored that when I had it installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's free if you order it in store. I went to the store and they ordered it for me and scheduled installation. Any stereo over $100 is free installation when ordered in the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It appears you have to physically buy it from the store to get free installation
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The labor for the install of the radio is free, But the parts you have to pay for. Read the fine print.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You ordered wrong. You have to select the local Best Buy that is able to do installations during your order.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you purchase in-store there should not be a problem. There are two harness adapters required, one for the unit that comes in the box, and another that interfaces to your particular car. Those two harnesses get soldered together. The car harnesses are not very expensive, $10-$20, if they have yours in stock. Not a bad deal at all. I know Best Buy is trying different procedures to make their stores more efficient and to try to keep their brick & mortar stores alive. All of their phone calls are answered by a central location. There is no way an associate can accept a phone call at a store. This was apparently to allow their associates to operate more efficiently and not get tied up on the phone with customers. I don't know if they will keep this policy, but I applaud them for trying to adapt. I hope that Best Buy stores stay operating. They are closing more each year. I can't imagine buying electronics without seeing it in-person or comparing it with other products. They are the last of the electronics stores in my area and I do all I can to support them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if your radio was $199.00 and over installation is FREE
