The good news is that you can purchase the Sony backlight remote and pair it with the TV (remote control model number: RMF-TX900U). It basically means that you need a flashlight to use the remote in a dark room. Hmmm kind of like a home theater environment? This only makes sense to about 12 people on Sony’s product management group. Tje good news according to Ralph is that the consumer can buy a lot more Sony stuff to overcome this fatal flaw in the product.
