• It's only to charge devices. I wish it could be used to play music, but if you want music, you'll have to set the alarm to a radio station.

• Based on the product specs, the USB port can be used to charge a compatible device, including select cell phones, tablets and MP3 players. It appears to only be for charging. I hope that helps!

• You can not play music through this; music will come out of speaker on your phone/device and not through the unit itself.
