How many sets of speakers can this player support? null

This DVD player doesn’t have an amplifier to hook up speakers. It has a left and right audio output for standard stereo connection to an older analog stereo receiver, and has a coaxial Dolby digital AC-3 output, so if you have a stereo receiver that supports that it coul be either 5.1 (5 speakers and 1 subwoofer) or 7.1 (7 speakers and one subwoofer) but you would need a complete system for the sound. It would support the HDMI interface to a TV that supports the built in 2 stereo speakers, or expanded soundbar and subwoofer if you have this already on your TV.
