• Yes this is a typo error. The camera is very lightweight. I use one hand to hold it. I love it.

• Per sony.com specs on this camcorder it is 6.7 OUNCES. I bought this model, SONY HDRCX440/B, from Best Buy and, yes, it weighs very little.
