Haven't tried that, so not entirely sure, but best guess is maybe. The speaker terminals are front, center, and surround (and subwoofer). There is not the typical A/B speaker set up. The manual says that when 2 channel stereo is selected "the sound field is suited for playing back audio signals as they are from two front speakers only, without adding any virtual surround effect. The sound is output from the front left/right speakers only." But if your input signal is 2 channel (no surround) and you select Multi-ch Stereo, there's a chance it will send the same 2 channel signal to the front and surrounds. Sorry couldn't be more definite.

If you want to set your 4 speakers to 2.0 stereo, you just need to repeatedly press the 2ch/multi button to switch to "2ch ST" on the display. Hope this helps! Regards, Sam
