Hi anmi, Thank you for your interest in the STRDH590. You can connect your projector to this receiver via HDMI ARC input even though your projector doesn't support HDMI ARC. Using an HDMI splitter is not recommended as we cannot guarantee its operation. I would suggest to directly connect your Roku device to one of the HDMI input of the receiver and connect regular speakers to the speaker ports of the receiver. You may refer to your HDMI splitter manufacturer for further assistance with compatibility with our unit. Hope this helps! -Sam
