“I'm replacing my SONY DAV-HDX500 system with a new receiver. Can I use the existing speakers from the HDX500 unit on this unit? Including the sub-woofer?”

I just replaced my old Yamaha receiver so I could have bluetooth capabilities. Hooked up my 5 existing speakers and subwoofer and it worked out great.

Hi Norm202, thank you so much for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. The speakers of your DAV-HDX500 is not compatible with our STRDH590 as it has lower impedance rating. We recommend using speakers rated at 6 ohms to 16 ohms with this receiver for the best results. Hope this helps! Thanks! - Romeo
