• Mine is connected to a sony T.V. via HDMI and it powers on with the T.V. The T.V. remote controls volume etc.

• Yes, it does support CEC (BraviaSync). We have it connected to a Bravia X750 and it works fine. Note, most cable/satellite boxes dont support CEC.
