You can automatically turn off the receiver and any device connected to the HDMI jack when you turn off the TV. Please refer to this link for more information: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/W001/W0014753M.pdf (Pg. 42). It does also feature the System Audio Control function which allows you to control the receiver volume using the TV remote control. For details, please refer to page 43 of this link: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/W001/W0014753M.pdf. Setting the receiver, the sound field settings, input switching, etc., can be done by selecting the Home Theatre Control application on the TV. This function can be used when the TV is compatible with the Home Theatre Control application and connected to the internet. Note: The Home Theatre Control function is a function developed by Sony, and cannot be used on devices other than ones manufactured by Sony. For Bluetooth, this receiver is compatible with any audio device like WALKMAN, smartphone, or tablet that supports Bluetooth A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) profile. I hope this helps! Thanks! - Romeo
