Yes, it has more than enough power! I am running a pair of Klipch (2 Cones and 2 Tweeters) Towers, a Klipch (2 Cones with an 8 Inch Horn) Center, A Paradigm 12 Sub Woofer and a Pair of Boston Acoustics for the rears...... and have had to turn down my Sub Woofer. This little Sony has ample Power! Not fancy, but more than capable!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't, even 'tho I have done EVERYTHING according to the 'book', get my woofers to work. All wiring and settings are correct ( according to the 'book' ). I have good speakers and I'm a retired electronics tech. so I do know what I'm doing. The speakers are not Bose ( which ARE exceptional speakers ) but are very good speakers. Is there anything that you can do to help me to get these speakers 'up'? Otherwise the system is a fine piece of equipment. I am partial to Sony and always buy this brand. One of the main reasons is that the remotes are the best designed on the market. Also, the quality of the systems is very fine. In answer to your question, I've had an older model of this unit ( now moved to another TV which is in the bedroom ) and it did all that was required of it. Just adjust it according to the 'book' and there should be no problem at all. The base sound is a floor shaker, which is good.
