“Last night our receiver suddenly shut down and the message PROTECT came up on screen. We’ve tried troubleshooting but nothing seems to work and now it’s constantly shutting down and projecting this PROTECT error message. Any ideas?”

There is a short circuit in the video board for the voltage regulator. Common defects/problem for this model after several months of use.
