There should be no problem, I have my turntable hooked up and have to use an external preamp. The issue you may have is what inputs you have available. I ran all my other devices using hdmi so the input for tv was available. I plugged the RCA cables from the preamp into the tv input and use the tv button on the remote to listen to vinyl. You do have to turn the Sony on by not using a remote that turns the tv on at the same time. I have my Xfinity remote synced so both tv and Sony come on at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We were able to use our pre-amp but it is standalone not part of the turntable. Try hooking it up to the pre-amp port in the back of the receiver. We have Kenwood and Onkyo speakers and a Sony center speaker they sound awesome and hook up just like they would to any other receiver.
