Connect TV HDMI output to HDMI ARC input of receiver and FireWire to another HDMI input. HDMI ARC input basically provides Video output from other channels like connected FieWire , etc to TV when those channels selected on the receiver. When ARC channel is selected only audio from TV is returned to the receiver. So that you can watch TV, FireWire or other AV sources video on the TV and audio on receiver and optionally on TV
