Hi Jimmy, Thank you for your question. Yes, you can hook up a center speaker to this AV receiver even if you're only using two front speakers and a subwoofer. Adding a center a speaker can significantly improve the clarity of dialogue in movies and TV shows. Connect speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. You may select 3.1 on the speaker pattern so you will be able to use the center speaker.
