Hi, Chuck! There are two ways that you can get your TV to play through the AV receiver. First, via HDMI ARC-to-HDMI ARC connection. If both devices are connected via HDMI ARC, just switch the input of the AV receiver to TV and the sound should work. Second, via optical connection. If your TV has am optical out port, just directly connect the cable to the optical IN port of the AV receiver and switch the input to TV.
