• Need preamp for a turntable unless it has 1 built in. Most quality ones don’t.

• Hi John, Thanks for your inquiry! This receiver does not have a phono input. To connect a turntable that only has a PHONO output jack, you need to connect a phono equalizer (not supplied) between the turntable and this receiver. Hope this helps! -Sam
