Hi AuHunter78, We do apologize for the inconvenience. The AV receiver needs to be connected to the HDMI ARC port of your projector. More details on the link below. https://helpguide.sony.net/ha/strdh59/v1/en/contents/TP0001559202.html?search=arc Regards, David
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With a little playing around, I figured out the issues. The devices need to be turned on in Sequence! 1)Receiver, 2)Xbox, 3)Projector. Silly really! Geek squad was No help. Was told i needed to purchase their $200 tech support option. Figured it out myself.

Please try again later.I don't have either an Xbox or a projector but I suspect the problem lies in the fact that the Xbox is capable of a higher resolution than the receiver can handle. The receiver maxes out at 4K by 60Hz refresh. The Xbox, being a gaming box, is probably set to output 4K by 120Hz refresh. Is it possible to "slow down" your Xbox so that it only outputs 60Hz refresh? You may need to temporarily set the Xbox to output only regular HD (not 4K) to see its menu.
