“Is their a way to have the headphone jack and speakers active at the same time. I need to accommodate a hearing impaired person with special hearing aid that would be connected to headphone jack while other people listing to the speakers.”

I’ve never heard of a receiver that does that. Usually when you plug headphones in it shuts all other speakers off. You May have to look for a specific reciver or buy a speaker to hook up to the reciver that also accepts a headphone jack.
