“Regarding the STRDH790, can I connect an external FM antenna (mounted on the roof of my home) to this receiver using coaxial cable? If not, is it possible to connect an external FM antenna, other than the antenna it comes with, to this receiver?”

Not sure about coaxial but i have a wire antenna that it came with placed in window
