Receiver supports Dolby vision but depends what you are plugging into receiver more so if you get Dolby vision. Sometimes the streaming device needs to be forced to stay on dolby vision like my Roku Ultra. As a personal choice to get the best visual experience I plug streaming device that I will use for my streaming experience directly to the tv. All peripheral devices like blueray player and gaming system I will plug into the reciever.

To get Dolby vision, please try to use Premium High-Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet which can support bandwidth up to 18 Gbps from the Apple TV to the Receiver and from the Receiver to the TV. Also, check that the HDMI signal format is set to "Enhanced". Please see the link below for details: https://helpguide.sony.net/ha/strdh79/v1/en/contents/TP0001705199.html Regards, David
