• I do not know if this player can be converted to region free player. What I can tell you is that it is legal to own and purchase a region free player, but that it cannot be purchased in the US. You can buy one overseas and have it sent to your home. But you will not find businesses that are based in the US selling region free players.

• You don’t need to convert. All 4k players are region free. The issue you need to find out is about the blu ray aspect. I have been able to play blu rays from other regions. When it comes to 4k. All 4k discs are region free.
