Check the software help instructions. Make sure that the peak indicators prior to capture are showing the changes in audio before you start the actual capture process. I think you may have missed a step. You may have to adjust the input level in the Windows volume mixer so that peak levels aren't saturating, but are loud enough to overcome system noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're best bet is to get a cable that goes from Red/White to 1/16th inch and plug that 1/16 into the microphone jack on your computer. (you can get this cable at any electronics store including Best Buy, that's where I got mine). Once you have this cable, hook it up directly from your Turntable, do not hook it up to your receiver, but directly to the turn table, and download an mp3 recorder such as easyMP3recorder. Once you have this on your computer, open your MP3 recording program and hit record, then lay the needle down and let the record play, you won't hear the record, but it will record onto your computer, and you will be able to save these as MP3s.

Alternately, if you are using the USB there is no need to connect the phono jacks. Try one connection method, then the other to see if the issue is consistent in both methods. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Sound Forge Audio Studio LE and check your installed audio codecs. If you are still having issues contact Sony product support and they will be happy to assist: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/support-contacts.pl?mdl=PSLX300USB
