• Don't know about yours but it sounds like the subwoofer that I have in my 5 channel system. The air actually vibrates in the earcup.

• There is a Significantly Good Amount of bass with clarity due to Noise Cancellation although pushing the bass too much will create rattling within the earphones

• I've never tried the MDR-XB950BT Extra Bass Model, but in my opinion, you don't buy ANC headphones for the base, you buy them to cancel out the background noise, and when that happens everything sounds better, louder and cleaners. from the Bass, all the way up to the highs. But if you want Bass, your probably best to stick with headphones designed specifically to give it your sound that extra punch.

• Go to a BB store and try them out yourself. It is very subjective, what you may think is perfect, somone else may think it is too much or not enough and Vice-Versa
