“Somehow I believe my noise cancelling got turned off. I am not getting the voice telling me NC is on/ NC is off. How can I turn NC back on? With NC my hearing is greatly protected in a loud machining environment. I already have 1 hearing aid.”

There are two physical buttons on the lower portion of the left earpiece. One controls power and the other toggles N/C on and off. Push them and experiment. And if you use them all day at work make sure your battery is not fully discharged.
