• The model has several differences. There are more microphones, different design, especially around the hinges, improved ANC and upgraded bluetooth codec support (from 5.0 to 5.2) and other internal design changes.

• Better noise cancelling, battery life, and sound quality. They are keeping the XM4's around, so its up to you if you want to spend the extra $50 for the XM5
