• Honestly I have not had them long enough to know but I did hear the same thing that you did personally I went with the Skullcandy Crusher because they cost about the same and feel twice as durable the Sony's were great headphones but I just decided to go with a different brand but the Skull Candies are extremely durable FYI

• One of my friends that came from Beats Studio 2's owns these and the model that's a step down, 650's, and he uses them at the gym almost everyday for the past 4 months. He hasn't had any issues.
