    Asked by Mercer.

  • QuestionCan I connect this speaker to a TV and microphones using a mixer to use for karaoke?

    Asked by Peter.

    • Answer Hi Peter, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, you can connect this speaker to TV via Bluetooth that supports the following Bluetooth profiles: A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile). If your TV doesn’t support Bluetooth but has a Headphone audio out (3.5mm/Aux) port then you can connect it to the AUDIO IN jack of the SRSXP700 using a 3.5mm audio cable. And you can also connect your microphone to the mic jack input of this speaker. And with regard to connecting a mixer, The XP700 does have a 3.5mm audio in port that might do the trick. This depends on if your mixer has a headphone 3.5mm port. Other than that, if your mixer supports Bluetooth out, it should be no problem. Unfortunately there are many mixers and we cant guarantee they will be compatible. Hope this helps! -Sam

    Asked by MARK.

    • Answer Hi MARK, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you cannot use this Portable Bluetooth Speaker as a subwoofer for your vehicle. I'd suggest checking out the Sony Electronics website and go to the Car & Marine Audio section on this link if you're looking for speakers for your vehicle. https://electronics.sony.com/audio/car-marine-audio/c/all-car-marine-audio You can pair your phone to this unit via Bluetooth, but there it is not possible to pair your phone and your vehicle's Bluetooth at the same time. • QuestionHow does this speaker compare to the JBL party box 310?

    Asked by Collin.

    • Answer Read my review on the product page comparing it to the PB310, In a nutshell: PB310: Wins in the lows/bass department. Best for EDM, bassheads, hip-hop. Physical Bass Thump, Deep Deep Lows. Louder. XP700: Wins in the "balanced everyday" department, looks better in my opinion and just does more for me than the PB310, your mileage may, and will vary. I kept the XP700.

  • QuestionRMS total wattage?

    Asked by Midwestmex.

    • Answer Hi Midwestmex, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the wattage of this speaker is not a public specification that we disclose at this time, and here is why. Watts tells an incomplete story when judging a speaker’s performance. To be more accurate you would need to know the watts, the dB rating, and frequency range (Hz) of all the speakers in the unit. Also, the distortion (THD) rate and the number of speakers driven for the rating of watts presented on the box. Yes, those things are not standardized. Then do some math, and you will get a general understanding of the loudness and range of the speaker in question. Then do that for all the different companies and you could compare with specs, though even if they were equal, they may sound different due to processing. At Sony we try to give you the absolute best sounding speaker, that has all the features our customers have told us really matter to them. Hope this helps. With Omnidirectional Party Sound provided by the X-Balanced Speaker Unit and the front and rear high-efficiency tweeter, it sends out rich, clear sound in all directions. It’s perfect for parties, inside or outside the home, and has plenty of battery life, is IPX4 Splash resistant and has an easy-to-use handle for moving from one party to the next. You can also optimize audio settings, control music, choose lighting patterns and manage your devices right from your phone using the Sony | Music Center and You can also access fun features like making party playlists, karaoke, and so much more with the Fiestable app. ~Earl
