They completely cover your ears, and while not noise canceling, they do the job!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not used them for this purpose but here’s my observation: They do cover the ears but don’t cup them for sound sound isolation. They are lightweight and don’t clamp the head too firmly which also may make them a little less isolating. They do flatten which should make them more companionable for travel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi I wouldn’t recommend it for a airplane. I bought them for my infusions at the hospital every month (we can’t watch tv unless we have ear phones) and they are ok for watching tv when it’s quiet but I wouldn’t recommend loud areas
