QuestionHow compatible is this kit?We have an LG WM3988HWA and would like to now buy a dryer. The sales rep at the local store says the kits are not compatible and I would essentially need to buy a new washer as well. But everything I read here says the kit is compatible with most 27" LG machines. Can someone give me a list of dryers that are compatible with my washer and this kit?

- Answer I believe he is trying to sell you a bill of goods, all the stacking kits will work with the WM prefixed washers.

QuestionWill this work with a MW3997H combo and a DLEX4270W 7.4 cuft LG dryer?Hello, We just got a LG WM3997H combo Washer./Dryer, which leaves clothes a little damp at the end of 3 hrs 20 minutes, would this Kit allow us to stack a 7.4 cu ft Dryer on top? Thanks, Have a great Weekend!

- Answer The stacking kit takes no more depth than the machines. It adds less than an inch to the combined height when stacked.

- Answer The current 27" washers and dryers that use the LG 27" Laundry Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1 that is exactly the same as the now discontinued RSTK1 all have the exact same dimensions as the LG Front Load SteamWasher™ with 9 Washing Programs, Model # WM2487HRM and the LG SteamDryer Electric Dryer, Model # DLEX7177RM which has a depth that is 1/4" deeper than the other units, but if it worked with the RSTK1, then it should work with the KSTK1 because the only difference between the stacking kits is the color. RSTKI is red and KSTK1 is chrome.LG only makes the chrome stacking kit now...^IFV

- Answer Hello Caleb T, Thank you for your interest in the WT1201CV and the DLEY1201V washer and dryer. There is no compatible stack kit designed for these units. Both units have their controls on the top of the unit so you really would not be able to stack them for that reason...IFV

- Answer Cynthia, thank you for your interest in the stacking kit for most 27" LG washers and dryers. The original stacking kit for these products was the SSKT1 and if you're inquiring about the current stacking kit for most 27" with the model number KST1 then rest assured that it is compatible with your washer and dryer as both stacking kits have the same exact dimensions and measurements. The only difference will be in the color of the kit. The KST1 comes in a graphite steel finish and this should match your products better since the SSTK1 came in a chorme finish, but not that it matters much since the kit is barely visible since it sits between the products when they are stacked.
