“Has anyone figure out how to stop the keyboard from populating random letters and numbers, as if the keys were pressed? The key board on its own starts populating random characters. We tried factory resetting, lowering the sensitivity, etc. no good yet.”

It is probably the software, reinstall it. If it does not work, exchange your keyboard for the same one.
